Mid-range helicopter replacement project
The aim of the project is to gradually replace the Mi-17 mid-range helicopter that is currently at the disposal of the National Armed Forces and to purchase four UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters. Project implementation period is from 2018 to 2024. At the same time, the purchase of helicopters and the necessary equipment, as well as spare parts and repair equipment will take place. The project also envisages the creation of the necessary infrastructure for helicopter parking, maintenance and repairs, as well as the purchase of material and technical equipment for repair shops and warehouses.
In order to provide the ability to use the new equipment, an important part of the project is the training and retraining of personnel (pilots and technicians) in the United States.
The Military Aviation Administration of the National Armed Forces, in cooperation with the Air Force, is working on the preparation of the necessary documents and procedures to ensure the implementation of state military aviation oversight in the field of airworthiness and operation of UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters.
Delivery of the first two helicopters is planned for the end of 2022. After the completion of the, training of personnel for work with helicopter specific equipment (for medical evacuation, work with fire prevention, search and rescue work) will begin.
