6x6 armoured personnel carriers

The project envisages purchase and acquisition 6x6 armoured personnel carriers as part of the development of NAF's tactical mobility capability. The project runs from 2021 to 2029.

Within the framework of the project, tested armoured vehicles suitable for Latvian conditions will be supplied and put into service in the NAF, which will significantly expand the operational capabilities of the NAF, increasing the mobility of NAF units and command management function, while also improving the physical security of soldiers. The project is based on cooperation between Latvia, Finland, Sweden and the company ''Patria'' in research and development of a common 6 x 6 armored vehicle system. The first armoured transporters are said by NAF to be received and put into service in October 2021. At the same time, along with the supply of armoured vehicles, training of personnel, purchase of communication equipment, as well as purchase of spare parts and repair equipment is also taking place.
